Our History

2015

Our CEO, Will, was one of the first westerners on Chinese social media to connect with local audiences in Mandarin, accumulating over 3 million followers across different social media platforms.

2018

Outlandish Media was founded in Shanghai as a digital marketing company, specialising in communicating ideas through video.

2019

Outlandish began to work with local brands, helping them bring their social media campaigns to life, whilst becoming close partners with multiple platforms in the process.

2020

Outlandish Media merged with LaowaiMe to create Outlandish Group and provide full digital marketing services. Work began with international brands and foreign organisations such as Lululemon, FedEx, Starbucks, Sber, Moscow Tourism Committee and others

2021

Outlandish Digital was established in London as one of the first TikTok certified store partners (TSP) in the UK, bringing expertise in video and social commerce to the UK market.
